We could not be more thrilled about the this year’s apprentice company, BD2! These talented young artists will perform throughout the year, including our May 2018 concert, REMIXES. They’ll be breaking ground in an innovative performance in conjunction with Community School of Davidson and pianist David Brooks. Details are coming soon, but first, we are proud to present the 2017-2018 BD2 company! From left to right: Sarah Coates, Milana Acolino, Jessicah Mills, Sara Goldfarb, Audra McGee (top), Abby Nelson (bottom). But it’s time to get back to work + play in the studio and kick off Baran Dance’s FIFTH season! This is sure to be a stellar year, but we need YOUR HELP to make it happen. Read on to see what’s up…

The evening features live music by AmigoElonzo WesleySinners & Saints, plus some surprises! PAY WHAT YOU CAN at the door, & remember you’ll be helping us out with:

  • Beyond Baran Dance: BD’s outreach program
  • lighting, sound, and other technical needs

  • costumes, advertising, and more!

We hope to see you there, but if you can’t make it to the party, you can always make a TAX DEDUCTIBLE DONATION by clicking the link below. No amount is too small (or BIG)!

Beyond Baran Dance

Baran Dance is proud to announce the launch of our partnership with Our.BRIDGE, a non-profit enrichment program that focuses on the education and socio-emotional development of children who are new to our country and culture. We will be offering weekly dance classes to a group of these wonderful students, but need your help. They are motivated to move, but need the right shoes! We are currently taking donations of used or new ballet and jazz shoes in the following sizes and quantities:

Children’s 2 (1), 3 (8), 4 (1), Adult 5.5 (1)

If your child has outgrown a pair that could use a new home, please drop them off at Open Door Studios through October 31st. Or feel free to pick up an extra pair while you’re shopping for the year. We are also taking monetary donations online HERE! (All donations to Baran Dance through October will go to our outreach program.) Some little feet will thank you very much!
